Sue Haviland is a reverse mortgage consultant in Baltimore, MD and the founder of Reverse Mortgage Success, a leader in training and educating loan originators about reverse mortgages.
Ms. Haviland has worked in the lending industry since 1981. She has been originating reverse mortgages for the last six years and still originates loans every day. She has helped hundreds of families all over the country in the last several years. Sue also shares her knowledge of this market in presentations before the Women’s Council of Realtors, Mortgage Bankers Association, National Association of Professional Mortgage Women, and SRES — Senior Real Estate Specialists as well as the public. She has written for such publications as Mortgage Originator Magazine, Mortgage Planner Magazine and Mortgage Lending Compliance Alert. Sue is a Certified Senior Advisor and is active in many professional organizations.

Dennis Haber is the author of the ground-breaking book, Piggy Bank Your Home: Tap into the Power of a Reverse Mortgage was released in February 2008.
He was a contributor to Happily Ever After, Expert Advice for Achieving the Retirement of Your Dreams, (Financial Forum Publishing & Communications) writing the chapter on reverse mortgages. He has also written the reverse mortgage chapter in the soon to be released book What Advisors need to know about Long Term Care, (The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants — AICPA)
In 2005 he submitted testimony to Congress regarding the “Reverse Mortgages To Help America’s Seniors Act” and in 2006 he received from the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association an achievement award for exemplary service . He was also named to the Advisory Counsel to the largest reverse mortgage lender in the country.
He has been frequently featured in the ASK THE EXPERT column in Newsday.
His articles on the topic have been published in various publications, including New York Law Journal, Elder Law Attorney, Senior Market Advisor, Nassau Lawyer, Suffolk Lawyer, New York Mortgage Press, The Cooperator, and Real Estate Weekly to name a few.
