With great regularity we tell folks that to protect your interests, your heirs and your estate you need certain paperwork. One of the problems with such paperwork is that it can often be expensive but now one part of the problem is being resolved without cost.
Such paperwork connects with decisions regarding whether or not to get a reverse mortgage because they impact your overall financial planning. Miss a few sheets of paper and the costs could be substantial. No less important, it could happen that your wishes and preferences are not followed.
The American Hospital Association has created a website called Put It In Writing.Org, an idea which ought to be applauded.
